Perhaps I am misunderstanding you then because it should be nothing to migrate to a new server while keeping the old one up. Their is no migration path from 08 foundations to standard. If this is a client with a single server then why do they need Standard anyway? Why couldn’t you migrate to essentials? That would be more cost effective for the client. I’m sorry but I’m not understanding the business case behind your project.

I understand this completely, and for other clients similar things have been done, but this client is a SMALL BUSINESS, and dropping several thousand on a new server and extra labour required for migration, on top of other bigger work going on, is a non starter right this second.
